Multiples.vc published a study on Reddit that found OnlyFans to be the global leader in revenue per full-time employee.
According to the report, each OnlyFans employee generates an average of $37.6 million in annual revenue for the company. This is tens of times more than the largest tech giants.
For comparison:
- NVIDIA — $3.6 million,
- Apple — $2.4 million,
- OpenAI and Microsoft — about $1.1 million,
- Amazon — only $0.4 million per employee.м
The data was compiled from public sources, including Multiples.vc, Yahoo, Reuters, LinkedIn, and TechCrunch. The calculations only included full-time employees, not contractors.
Researchers estimate that OnlyFans officially employs 42 people, but the company collaborates with hundreds of contractors worldwide, primarily in the areas of moderation, security, and compliance.
Founded in 2016, the platform operates on a paid subscription model, where creators post photos, videos, and live streams to their subscribers. OnlyFans has become a digital phenomenon, allowing thousands of creators to directly monetize their content.
Despite its global popularity, the site faces restrictions in some countries. Specifically, in Kazakhstan, OnlyFans was officially blocked under Order No. 26-01-2-26/772 dated February 29, 2024, due to the distribution of pornographic content.
OnlyFans’ record-breaking performance demonstrates how profitable the modern creator economy model can be—one where the platform generates revenue not from technology, but from human attention and content.
