Sophie Rain’s offer to help those affected by the U.S. government shutdown sparked a reply from Uber’s official X account. Fans flooded her post, sharing their payment IDs in hopes of receiving assistance.

Uber X Reached Out to Sophie Rain for SNAP Money
In a now-deleted reply to Sophie Rain’s post on X, Uber’s official account shared its PayPal ID. Sophie posted a video explaining that she wanted to use her platform to help others. The 21-year-old model expressed concern over the U.S. government shutdown and the suspension of SNAP, which helps millions buy groceries. She offered to provide financial support during this difficult time.

In the video, Sophie Rain shared, “I used to live off food stamps, so I get it. I’ve been there.” She added that she would select individuals throughout the week and encouraged fans to share their payment methods in response to her post.

As hundreds of fans flooded her comments with CashApp, Venmo, and PayPal IDs, the official Uber account joined in. In a now-deleted reply, Uber shared their PayPal ID, writing, “Xoxosamyo on PayPal,” with a crying emoji and a heart. The reply quickly went viral, with screenshots circulating widely across social media.

In her caption, Rain wrote, “I am giving out money to help those in need this week during the government shutdown. If you or anyone you know needs assistance this week, please drop any payment method below so I can lend a helping hand.”

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, provides food assistance to over 42 million Americans. However, according to the BBC, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which oversees the program, recently announced that “States must immediately undo any steps taken to issue full SNAP benefits for November 2025.”
