Children access to adult content

American-Brazilian OnlyFans model Camilla Araujo was caught on camera in an awkward moment with two alleged “fans.”

Why children access to adult content is a growing concern

Camilla Araujo, one of the top-earning OnlyFans creators, recently faced backlash after two young boys recognized her in public.

The incident occurred while Araujo was at a bowling alley with Twitch streamer N3on.

A short clip of the moment, discovered by Cybernews on X, appears to come from one of N3on’s Twitch streams.

In the footage, two boys—estimated to be around 10 to 12 years old—approach Araujo and N3on.

“I know who that is,” one boy says to N3on. “Isn’t she from OnlyFans?”

N3on seems clearly surprised that such a young child was able to recognize Araujo.

The model scolds the boy, saying he should watch Blippi, a kids’ show, instead of her adult content.

How social media contributes to children accessing adult material

The video went viral, gaining over three million views and thousands of comments about today’s overly online kids.

“That’s honestly really sad. Kids being exposed to OnlyFans content represents a major failure by the platforms, parents, and content filters. The internet is too open, and they’re seeing things far too early,” one X user commented.

Others shifted the blame toward parents and large tech companies.

“It’s almost like the problem isn’t women having an OnlyFans, but kids having zero online supervision,” another user wrote.

While parents face criticism, tech giants like Meta have done little to stop kids from seeing harmful content.

While Meta has introduced child protection tools, such as teen accounts and certain safety features, it appears to have made little progress in limiting access to adult material on its platforms.

Children are most likely to come across Araujo’s content via Meta’s Instagram, where she remains highly active.

Even with some safeguards in place, her posts—particularly those featuring her in underwear—can easily draw the attention of young boys and lead them to seek out her more explicit material.

OnlyFans itself, however, maintains strict age verification protocols, making it difficult—though not entirely impossible—for minors to access her content.

Government actions to limit children access to adult content

Across the Atlantic, the United Kingdom has begun tightening restrictions on underage access to pornography and other harmful material through its Online Safety Act.

This legislation mandates age verification on various platforms that may host explicit or dangerous content.

The Online Safety Act officially came into force on July 25, 2025, aiming to stop minors from visiting websites featuring pornographic material, as well as content related to self-harm, eating disorders, and suicide.

Although this approach may appear logical, some organizations argue that it is not the most effective way to protect children — instead, it threatens user privacy.

“If the UK truly wants to become the safest place in the world to go online, it should adopt policies that genuinely safeguard everyone, including children, rather than enforcing laws that end up harming the very people they are meant to protect,” the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) stated.
